At Penrose Academy, we understand that academics and technical expertise are critical components of a quality beauty school education. But a complete education has to incorporate many other challenging, inspiring and motivating elements. These are some of the events and experiences that are a part of student life at Penrose Academy.
Campus Life
When you join the Penrose community you’ll be energized, challenged and inspired by our campus events and opportunities. Student contests and competitions happen regularly. And themed dress-up days and food-truck Friday’s also happen regularly!
Editorial Events and Shows
From Broadway Show-inspired contests and holiday-themed competitions, exposure to editorial-oriented education is ever-present. Our curriculum includes an Editorial Styling component giving students an opportunity to create and present their work in a fast paced, runway style environment.
Career-Building Opportunities
Our curriculum includes activities dedicated to growing your professional skills, including resume building and preparing for job interviews. Our regular on-site Career Fairs provide a forum to meet employers, industry professionals and product companies, and our Placement Manager is dedicated to constantly updating our industry job board with employment opportunities for our students and alumni.
Study Abroad
Our Study Abroad Program takes students on 8—10 day trips visiting such locales as Tokyo, Amsterdam, Sydney, Paris, Dublin, Rome, Barcelona and more!
Student Council
Our Student Council is elected three times annually by their peers. As a member of Penrose Academy’s Student Council you will have the opportunity to work on events such as Wander+Wonder and with our Charity of Choice Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

I had a friend that attended this school when it was Kohler and raved about how amazing the program was. Also, when I came in for my tour everyone was beyond welcoming and I felt like I found my place. I love the energy of everyone here: students, educators, and staff!
