Rome and Paris (November 10 – 20)
This upcoming trip involves 5 nights in Rome and 4 nights in Paris. It includes guided tours of famous places such as the Colosseum, Forum & Palatine Hill in Rome and the Louvre Museum in Paris. We are not accepting any more applicants for this opportunity at this time, but inquire with our team about applying for the next opportunity!

Sydney & Melbourne
Our 2016 Study Abroad trip took us to the land down under! Penrose Academy Students and Alumni experienced eleven days of guided sightseeing, hands-on education and cultural exploration in Sydney & Melbourne, Australia! Our students experienced some of Australia’s most iconic locations and landmarks on this exclusive trip: Melbourne’s yarra River, You Yangs Regional Park, Sydney Harbor Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art, Bondi Beach… as well as a bike tour, Sydney Harbor cruise, two days of education and plenty of free time to explore the beaches, museums, restaurants, galleries, shops and nightlife in both cities.
Recent Trip Itinerary
Day 1 & 2 – November 28th & 29th
Depart Phoenix and fly overnight to Melbourne including a full day of travel due to flight distance and international time zones, both of these “days” are spent flying.
Day 3 – November 30th
Arrive at Melbourne International Airport in the morning. Depart for an orientation tour of the city. Check in to Ovolo Laneways after lunch, with a group dinner later. After dinner, the evening is open for you to explore the city.
Day 4 – December 1st
After breakfast at Ovolo Lanewaysl, travel outside the city to the Healesville Sanctuary, with a picnic lunch later on their grounds. Healesville Sanctuary specializes in native Australian wildlife so expect to see koalas, kangaroos and more! In the afternoon, return to the hotel for a night on your own with a cash allowance provided for dinner at a restaurant of your choosing.
Day 5 – December 2nd
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before taking off on a guided bike tour through the city. The afternoon is free, followed by a group dinner overlooking the Yarra River to celebrate your final night in Melbourne.
Day 6 – December 3rd
Fly from Melbourne to Sydney in the late morning. After arrival, head straight to our hotel, OQ Sydney for check-in. Spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring Sydney on your own before walking to a group dinner later that evening.
Day 7 – December 4th
After breakfast, travel by train just north of Sydney for a full day of education at Joico’s Australian distributor, Sabre Group. Later that evening enjoy a five-course group dinner in Sydney, with the remainder of the evening free for you to enjoy the city.
Day 8 – December 5th
Travel by train for your second day of education at Joico Australia. After a full day of education, enjoy a free night on your own to eat dinner where you choose and discover more of Sydney’s attractions.
Day 9 – December 6th
After breakfast, depart the hotel with our guide to explore the sights of Sydney and the area’s famous beaches. Today you will experience the Botanic Garden, Lady Macquarie’s Chair, historic Paddington and a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House. In the afternoon, our guide will take us on the famed Bronte to Bondi Walk along the coast, concluding the evening at a Bondi Beach restaurant for a group dinner.
Day 10 – December 7th
This morning we will tour the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, located on the edge of Sydney Harbor. Enjoy a free afternoon to experience and explore Sydney on your own. In the evening, board a dinner cruise ship in Sydney Harbor for a memorable final group meal celebrating our final night in Australia.
Day 11 – December 8th
Depart Sydney for the flight back home to Phoenix!
